The South Carolina Business Coalition on Health offers an array of educational opportunities that assist members in implementing high quality, value-based health benefits.
Workshops are available throughout the year to facilitate learning and application of value based purchasing.
Small Business Workshop
The Coalition provides a free workshop each year to small businesses to help them
understand their health benefits and how to get the most value for their money.
Each year SCBCH holds a conference with national speakers presenting on topics such as value based benefit design, provider quality, and national employer case studies. Over 300 human resource managers, benefit managers, health plan representatives, and health care professionals from the state‟s leading businesses attend.
College for Value Based Purchasing
The College was created to help employee benefit managers meet the growing challenges of providing high quality health benefits and managing rising benefit costs. The College offers a practical, intensive program that focuses on benefit purchasing techniques and skills that emphasize improving the value, quality-cost ratio, and effectiveness of health care services purchased on behalf of employees.
Employee Education Tool Chest
The Tool Chest is designed to assist employer members in providing educational materials and health information to employees on topics such as prevention, tobacco cessation, medication safety and chronic disease management. In addition, there are also educational materials for Benefit Mangers on topics like communicating with employees, engaging the C-Suite, health & productivity, and value based purchasing.
